In this editorial, I am showcasing a couple of denim staples in an editorial shoot I did over the summer. A classic acid wash denim jacket along with the models own denim jeans and shorts paired with various articles of clothing. Since summer is sadly coming to a close, here are some ways to incorporate denim to warm up your existing beach attire in the coming chillier months. In southern California, you can always find someone wearing a pullover, cardigan or jacket after their swim since the Pacific Ocean stays at a colder temperature than most bodies of water year round... And ALWAYS, in the setting of the sun, around a sandy fire pit with cozy blankets laid out.

Face: Instead of using a heavy foundation, I applied Glossier Perfecting Skin Tint. I then applied a Warmth from Bare Minerals to the crease of the cheek and the lower line of the jaw, and the hight points of the forehead to create a minimal sun-kissed effect. To highlight the high points of the face, I used the ever so trusty Champagne Pop from Becca Cosmetics and lightly dusted my brush over the powder and then gave a light tap on my arm to release some of the powder to ensure a light 'glow from within' look. I applied to the high points of the cheek bone, forehead, nose and chin.

Eyes: This look was to be kept really natural so I did not add much to the models already beautiful eyes. I took two of the light beige shades from the Morphe 350 Palette and layered them across the lid. I gave her lashes a light coat of mascara, using the Kevyn Aucoin Expert Mascara.  Lastly, I brushed the models brows with Maybelline's Great Lash clear mascara in an upward motion.

Lips: I used the shade 'Tenderheart' from Clinique| Different Lipstick line.

Elizabeth came with her hair in natural waves so the only product I applied was the MILK Anti-Frizz Leave-In Nourishing Treatment by GMReverie. I had the model flip her head over and I rubbed about 4 pumps of the product in my hands and brushed through her hair from about two inches from her scalp to the ends. Once flipped up, her hair had wonderful body and texture and kept away the frizz when we shot near the ocean. Hands down one of my favorite hair products. THE SCENT: is herbal and minty.
