We city residents set out on an escapade to capture the unique and obscure setting of what is known as Salvation Mountain. In the middle of the vast and very monotone desert, far off in the distance, a minuscule and quite colorful mirage began to appear as we drove closer to our destination. Upon arriving, you could not help but be inspirited by the clear message and purpose of Salvation Mountain. Built by Leonard Knight in the Colorado Desert, his goal was to share his love of God in hopes to inspire a spiritual connection...and a spiritual connection is what we got. In continuing with the inspiration of my February Vision Board, this makeup look was created with use of white shadows, black liner, and nude lips. The striped blue and white wall added a dynamic setting for the fashion blogger, Diana Horsfall. It was wonderful to be able to collaborate with visionaries like Diana and Andrew to create these story images. I think we could all agree that in the solitude of this location, we shut out the noise of the city, shared in our creativity and made something beautiful.
